Global Salon Business Awards “The Global Salon Business Awards® recognize and honor the world’s leading hairdressing salon owners, whom have mastered the business, management, leadership and entrepreneurial skills necessary to enjoy true business success” The Global Salon Business Awards take place every two years since 2004. Björn Axén has been acknowledged within the hairdressers´ world at every single occasion. In 2004, Björn Axén was awarded “Best Team Philosophy” in London. In both 2006 in Barcelona and in 2008 in Los Angeles, Björn Axén was awarded the prestigious “Salon Entrepreneur of the Year”.

THE HAIRDRESSER OF THE YEAR, MEN’S HAIRCUT 2011 At the 2011 Hairdresser Awards on the 9^th of September, Lina Ressner was awarded the “Hairdresser of the Year, Men’s Haircut 2011". Lina Ressner has had the privilege to have Björn Axén as a mentor while learning the hairdressing profession, and she has worked side by side with him for three years. She has since held a number of much appreciated courses for hairdressers, under the regimes of both Matrix and Björn Axén. She is currently the head of education at the Björn Axén Academy, where she also teaches men’s haircut, amongst other things.


The Hairdresser Avant Garde of 2009 Sara Stode was awarded “Hairdresser Avant Garde” in September 2009. Sara graduated from Björn Axén Academy in 2006 and has been a part of Björn Axén Artistic Team since 2007. She works part-time at the salon Björn Axén Åhléns City, 4^th floor and as a hair and make up stylist at Björn Axén/Spectacular Studious. (Photographer: Daniel Lundkvist.)


The Hairdresser of the Year 2008 In 2008 Malin Cederlund won the very prestigious title “The Hairdresser of the Year”. The award resulted in a honourable assignment for the Swedish Hairdressers Association. Malin was asked to create a trend analyzing inspiration folder for their 2009 collection. Malin is originally from the city Ängelholm in the southwest of Sweden and currently works at the salon Urban by Björn Axén on Norrlandsgatan 22 in Stockholm.


The Hairdresser of the Year 2006 In 2006, the Swedish Hairdressers Association arranged a contest at the Swedish Fairs in Gothenburg. Linn Malmlöf, Salon Manager at Urban by Björn Axén, at Åhléns City in Stockholm, was awarded the “Hairdresser Avant Garde”.


Designer of the Year Avant Garde 2005 In 2005 he competed against very talented hairdressers from around the world in the Avant Garde Hair Styling Contest. His futuristic creations swept the competition both in the Swedish and European qualification contests as well as in the international finals. In January of 2006 Janne travelled to the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles to received the “Designer of the Year 2005” award. Janne works at the Björn Axén salon on Norrlandsgatan 7 in Stockholm.


Johan Hellström wins “Young Manager 2006” award The Swedish Competence Gala promotes competence development and good examples, as well as encourages individuals who contribute to the development of both Swedish enterprise and competence development. The organizers of the gala: The magazine “Tidningen Chef”, Sats Sports Club, Manpower, Right Management Consultants, The Swedish Dental Service Organisations, The Competence Fund of Stockholm and The Swedish Association of Human Resources Management.
